At Leznik & Co. courses, English is taught according to the following programs:
We teach according to General English starting from the 1st grade. General English Levels: Beginner (A1), Elementary (A2), Pre – Intermediate (B1), Upper – Intermediate (B2), Advanced (C1), Proficiency (C2).
At Leznik & Co. courses according to General English programs at levels A1, A2, B1, B2 are offered. And at levels C1 and C2, General English is usually not taught. Pupils usually complete one General English level in 3 – 4 months, depending on the intensity.
Is a General English language preparation with an academic focus for the beginning of IELTS course
International English Language Testing System – is an international English language proficiency test. It is offered in two versions: General Training Module (General) and Academic Module (academic). You need to pass General IELTS if you plan to immigrate, but to go abroad to study or work, you need to pass a more complex academic module.
IELTS consists of four parts: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The maximum score on the IELTS exam is 9. The acceptable score on the IELTS exam is 6 – 6.5. To get an acceptable score on IELTS, starting with 5.5 (levels B2, C1), you need 3 – 6 months of training, depending on the intensity and performance of the student.
The result of the IELTS exam is valid for two years.
PreTOEFL – is a General language preparation in English with the introduction of techniques useful for passing the TOEFL exam.
Test of English as a Foreign Language – is an international exam for evaluating academic English developed in America.
TOEFL consists of 4 parts: Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The maximum score on the TOEFL exam is 120 points. 30 in each of the four parts. The acceptable score on TOEFL is 80+. Starting from the B2 level, to get a good score on TOEFL, you need to study from 3 to 6 months.
Scholastic Aptitude Test – is an assessment of the degree of an applicant’s preparation (bachelor, master) for mastering academic disciplines in English. It reveals the degrees of understanding lectures, assimilation of theoretical textbooks and the level of academic writing. SAT English – is the conditional name of SAT Verbal. SAT English consists of two parts: Critical Reading (analytical reading) and Writing (essays to choose from).
The maximum score on SAT English is 800: 400-Reading, 400-Writing. If you start being at C1 Advanced level (IELTS – 7+, TOEFL – 100+), then to get a good score on SAT English, it is enough to study for 3 – 6 months. It is preferable to prepare for SAT English from the 10th grade. We recommend that children reach Intermediate (B1) – Upper – Intermediate (B2) level in 8th grade and pass IELTS in the 9th grade for 6+, which will help them achieve SAT English results faster in the 10th grade.
ACT – is a similar exam, along with the SAT, for admission to universities of the United States, Canada, Turkey, as well as many countries of Europe and Asia. It stands for American College Testing. ACT consists of 4 parts: reading, writing, math, science. The maximum score on the ACT exam is 36. ACT results are valid for 3 years from the date of the exam. It is better to prepare on ACT from grades 9 – 10.
ACT is mandatory for both American applicants and applicants from other countries. However, foreigners in the United States take IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic along with the ACT. The ACT exam is universal and is recognized by almost all universities in the world. ACT is very popular in the Central and southern States of the United States.
: GMAT – is an exam for students who are entering the master’s program at the MBA faculty. It stands for Graduate Management Admission Test. GMAT consists of the following parts: Quantitative (Math), Verbal, Analytical writing, and Integrated reasoning. The maximum score on the GMAT exam – 800. The result of the GMAT exam is valid for 5 years.
To enroll in the master’s program, it may be enough to pass only the GMAT, but mainly you also need to pass IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic. Besides, the student must have a good GPA from the University where he/she studied for a bachelor’s degree.

This exam, which requires an increased level of logic, is popular mainly in the United States. GMAT English – is the conditional name of GMAT Verbal. GMAT English is more complex than SAT English. In SAT Verbal, more attention is paid to vocabulary, while in GMAT Verbal – to logic. Unlike the paper SAT, the GMAT – is a computer – adaptive test, which means that the student’s answers affect the questions that he/she will later see in the test.
GRE – is an exam for students entering the master’s program at the technical and more faculties of the MBA. It stands for Graduate Record Examination.
The GRE exam consists of three parts: Quantitative (Math), Verbal, Analytical writing. The maximum score on the GRE exam is 340 + 6 (170 – verbal, 170 – quantitative, 6 – writing). The result of the GRE exam is valid for 5 years. To enroll in the master’s program, it may be enough to pass only the GRE, but mainly you also need to pass IELTS, TOEFL or PTE Academic. Besides, the student must have a good GPA from the University where he/she studied for a bachelor’s degree.

IGCSE – is a certificate awarded based on high school graduation exams. This is a program of schools with the British Curriculum teaching system. It stands for International General Certificate of Secondary Education. IGCSE certificate is issued on each subject. That is, IGCSE in geography, history, mathematics, and so on. Basically, it is necessary to pass the exam in 7 subjects. The maximum score on the IGCSE exam is A* (A star).
At Leznik & Co. courses there is preparation in mathematics, chemistry, physics, biology, history, and English according to the Cambridge IGCSE program.
IGCSE First Language is intended for students of English-speaking countries, and IGCSE Second Language – for others. At the same time, a pupil with an excellent knowledge of English can apply for IGCSE First Language.
A Level is a 2 – year program, at the end of which children pass an international exam and receive certificates in each subject. The program is studied in various international schools. It stands for Advanced Level. There are no restrictions on subjects in A-Level, usually universities require to pass at least four A-Level subjects. The maximum score on the A Level exam is A*. After passing the A Level, you can immediately enter the first year of University. When entering the universities of such countries as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, in addition to A Level, you must also pass TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE Academic.
: the Goal of creating the IB (International Baccalaureate) was to bring together all known secondary education systems so that the diploma of this program was recognized by universities of any country at the level of national school diplomas.
The IB program consists of PYP (Primary Years Program), MYP (Middle Years Program), and DP (Diploma Program) :
PYP primary school program – for children aged 5 to 11;
MYP main school program – for children aged 11 to 16;
the DP high school program – for students aged 16 – 19. Upon completion, children receive a certificate.
To get an international certificate, it is necessary to pass 6 IB subjects.
In addition to IB, when entering the universities of such countries as the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom it is also required to pass IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE Academic.
AP (Advanced Placement) it is one of the possible entrance exams for students from countries such as the United States and Canada. As the name suggests, all subjects are studied there in depth (at the advanced level). This preparation program includes a wide range of subjects. Students can choose one or more subjects, depending on their goals and abilities. Part of the material studied according to this program in terms of complexity corresponds to the materials of the first year of study at the University.
The Advanced Placement program consists of courses in 34 subjects. Pupils choose several subjects from the suggested areas for in-depth study. These may include foreign languages, natural and social sciences, art, computer science, mathematics, and sociology.
